Powered by Annapurna Labs Alpine AL-314, quad-core 1.7 GHz processor, 2 GB DDR3L RAM, a 1GbE LAN port and a 2.5GbE LAN port, the TS-231P3 features a 2.5GbE RJ45 port, which delivers up to 2.5 times the speed of standard Gigabit Ethernet and allows smoother multimedia playback and everyday use. The TS-231P3 ensures data security by supporting AES 256-bit encryption and various options for local, remote and cloud backup, including snapshot protection where files and data can be restored to previously captured states when they are accidentally deleted, modified or affected by malware.

- HBS backs up and synchronizes NAS data to remote servers or cloud storage, while QuDedup deduplicates data at source to optimize bandwidth and storage usage.

- Supports LXC and Docker containers for rapid deployment of application services across different platforms.
- File Station centralizes files stored on the NAS and cloud for easy access. Files can also be easily encrypted to protect sensitive data.
- Expand the storage capacity of the TS-231P3 by connecting storage enclosures from the TR and TL series.
