Thunderbolt™ 2 Bridge Adapter
The Promise Technology SANLink2 Thunderbolt™ 2 to 16G Fibre Channel bridge connects portable and desktop systems to a Fibre Channel SAN. SANLink2 provides dual 16Gbps Fibre Channel ports that can be used to connect directly to an external Fibre Channel storage device or to a storage area network (SAN) using a high-speed Thunderbolt™ 2 I/O port. SANLink2 is fully compatible with Thunderbolt™ 2 technology, is qualified for use with OS X, and works with full hot-plug capability.

With SANLink2 every device with Thunderbolt I/O-technology (such as the new Mac Pro, MacBook Pro, MacBook Air, iMac or Mac mini) can be connected to the Fibre Channel SAN. SANLink2 is a fully qualified solution for OS X and Xsan. These systems can be connected to or act as Xsan-metadata controller, without any restrictions to the type of system. SANLink2 is usable with the PROMISE VTrak x10 and x30 series Fibre Channel RAID-subsystems as well as other conventional storage devices with Fibre Channel.

  • SANLink2 16G FC offers the fastest onsite performance for users who need to directly connect a Mac Pro and Pegasus to VTrak systems
  • Revolutionizes how creative professionals connect from a Thunderbolt™ 2 device to a Fibre Channel SAN or directly to Ethernet
  • Built to maximize the available line rate of Thunderbolt™ 2
  • Access to low-latency, high-bandwidth storage reduces file load times, allows for instantaneous response time during timeline scrubbing, and reduces the amount of time required for large media file transfers
  • A complete out-of-the-box solution, simply plug in your SANLink2 with a power adapter into a Thunderbolt™ port
  • Portable and desktop systems previously unable to connect to a high-speed Fibre Channel SAN can now do so using Thunderbolt™ 2 technology
