From Mobile-Harddisk to TrueBase

You probably knew us until now as Mobile-Harddisk.nl. Under that name, we have been providing solutions for all your data storage challenges since 2004. In fact, we didn't just deliver a box of equipment to your door; you could also rely on us for expert advice.

And now, here is our new name: TrueBase. With a new website. A new look. But also, the same reliable service and even more expert advice. Many changes, but still the same team of specialists. We can imagine that many Mobile-Harddisk customers have questions about these changes, which is why we have created the FAQ below.

Why the name change?

As we mentioned, we originally started with Mobile-Harddisk.nl with the mission to help our customers find the best external storage solutions. That range quickly expanded. Safely storing data was no longer always an end in itself.

More often, storage became a means to solve much broader challenges. For example, setting up video surveillance or sharing documents, photos, or other media centrally accessible via the network. Thus, the name Mobile-Harddisk.nl began to cover less and less of our offerings.

What does TrueBase stand for?

It was time for a new name. One that no longer limits the type of equipment you can expect from us because we also want to support you with the new hardware of tomorrow. But above all, a name that better conveys our mission. With TrueBase, we want to be your reliable hardware partner, the partner who understands what you need. Preferably even before you realize it yourself. And because it really is about your situation, we believe in customization, even if it takes a little more time. With TrueBase, we want to be your go-to point for security, network solutions, and data storage, where you can rely on expert and reliable advice.

Why a new webshop?

A different name also comes with a new webshop. With this, we want to create a user-friendly platform to help you even better. With a clear wizard, we ensure that we recommend the best devices for your situation. Even if you prefer to figure out the best solution for yourself, the webshop provides you with the tools to do so. Finally, the website better fits our growth goals and international ambitions.

What changes in the service?

We will mainly give you a lot more unsolicited advice. As a digital hardware specialist, we see it as our mission to help you navigate the online jungle even better.

There is a lot out there. A lot is possible. But we want to show you which options will truly help you. Unsolicited, but relevant and expert. Think, for example, of tips and tricks for organizing your files on our new social media channels. Information that you can use. Other than that, nothing changes in the service you are used to from us.

What are the implications for existing agreements or contracts, such as warranties?

For our existing customers, practically nothing changes. The warranties and service you are used to from Mobile-Harddisk continue under our new name and remain visible to us. Please feel free to contact us if you have any further questions, we'd be happy to tell you more.

Can I still log in with my Mobile-Harddisk.nl details?

You can, we have transferred your login details. However, we ask you to create a new password, which you can do via the 'forgot password' button. Additionally, orders previously placed on Mobile-Harddisk.nl will not be shown in the order history, but we will soon adjust this so they will be visible.
